Warrant Officer Peter Livingstone ATC

Squadron Warrant Officer

Peter was a cadet of 2449 (Carnoustie) Squadron – Dundee & Central Scotland wing and was promoted to the highest rank achievable by a cadet - Cadet Warrant Officer in. In 2004 Peter became a member of staff as an Adult Warrant officer with the London Wing. This was after a few years obtaining my professional qualifications as a psychiatric nurse. In his time as an Warrant Officer, Peter completed the Drill instructor course and so is extremely well qualified to teach drill to the cadets.

Peter enjoys most of the tasks as a Warrant Officer as he feels he can help the cadets develop into well rounded adult indivuduals. One of the most rewarding things for him is to see a cadet to become a member of staff.

Currently Peter gives instruction to senior cadets in the wing on Air cadet leadership courses. Currently I have been with 342 squadron for approximately 18month. I have often changed jobs which resulted in changing squadrons. However I am happy to be with 342 even although I do not attend frequently.

I joined Middlesex wing in 1995 but left to be with Northern Ireland wing and then Beds & Cambs wing (Bedfordshire & Cambridgeshire) In Beds & Cambs wing I was a sector warrant office and was involved in the wing training team and NCO courses, I have again became involved in the NCO courses and am often the course warrant officer for the sgt course.

When I live in Luton I became a canoe instructor which I often use the with the cadets, so my hobby can also benefits the cadets which to me is best of both worlds
